In operation since 2002, Journey Theater is the largest youth-focused arts program in Clark County, WA. Each year, around five hundred youth, 6-18, find their voices, explore creative interests, and cultivate talent through summer camps, high quality, Broadway style performances, and dozens of after-school classes in singing, dancing, and more.
After 23 years of being nomadic, Journey Theater now has a new home! It will now be an actual place – a building that will become a “home” to thousands of youth from all walks of life. A place of support, comfort, of positive peer interactions and adult mentors.
This past Spring, Journey entered into a long-term shared space agreement with Manor Church in Battle Ground, WA to become the long-term home of Journey Theater. This new partnership is an incredible opportunity that will allow us to:
- Build a consistent space where families and students can come together to learn, perform, and grow.
- Create classrooms and a dedicated theater designed specifically for our needs.
- Streamline our operations by consolidating more of our activities and equipment in one place—saving time and energy for our dedicated staff and volunteers.
With this long-term agreement in place, and a team of architects and theater designers, we are now finalizing a design that will equip the auditorium as a theater space, with stadium style seating, lights, sound, curtains and everything else we need to do high quality performances.
Thank you for partnering with us to "Set the Stage" for Journey Theater's future home!
